Buccaneer Gun Club IDPA

I heard they assign the dirty work to Fred.

If it involves the wet team, maybe I better not miss it...
So should I look for the new Jeep? or the truck? at 6:30 tomorrow at Cabelas.

I'm not gonna make it.

And y'know...she's already making moves to commandeer my Jeep. Trying to give me that old wore out truck.

Biggest hamburger I ever ate.

There wasn't any plastic on the floor at Winnies. Glad Ray called off the hit.

Next IDPA match coming up May 6.

There's a better than 50/50 shot that I can make it.
Weather forecast is looking great, too.

Sign up online and save $5 on the match fee:

The Buccaneer Gun Club IDPA match for Saturday, May 6th 2017, will start at our usual time of 10AM. The cost for the match is $15 if you sign up online prior to midnight on May 5th and $20 after that time or at the match. If you sign up online you will receive email notification as soon as the scores are complete (Usually within a couple of hours after the match is completed) and you will receive a text to your cell phone with scores if your phone supports texting. Also, signing up online saves us time in scoring and allows us to print your score sheet ahead of time. Please be at the range by 9:30AM to check in. BGC is a cold range (YOU MAY NOT HAVE A LOADED FIREARM UNTIL DIRECTED TO LOAD BY A SAFETY OFFICER WHEN YOU ARE ON THE FIRING LINE) and eye and ear protection is required for everyone including spectators. Please bag and unbag your firearms in one of our four designated safe areas. They are clearly marked as such and if you are unsure, just ask one of the match personnel to direct you to one. We are planning on five high round count stages so plan on needing around 100 rounds for the match. A concealment garment (vest, jacket etc.) is REQUIRED for this May match. Please observe the 13MPH speed limit when entering and leaving the club. The link for signing up for the match follows: http://idpamatchsignup.com/osm_match_signup_main.aspx

Looking forward to tomorrow's match and Winnie's Tavern afterwards.

Weather forecast looks spectacular.
I might just have Duane drop me off at the beach when we are done at Winnie's.
I can catch the bus back home in a couple of weeks.

July's match is cancelled due to match personnel travelling out of town.

Next match is August 5.

The August 5th IDPA match scheduled for this next Saturday has been canceled. Our ranges are currently undergoing some major improvements to landscaping and drainage and will be unavailable for a few days.

Please join us for our next scheduled match on Saturday, September 2nd at 10AM.

The September 2nd match will be held at Anthill http://www.anthillrange.com/ due to the ongoing bay work at Buccaneer .
Amp, they haven't updated their webpage to reflect their summer IDPA match start times. Can you confirm that registration is at 9 and shoot at 10? Thanks.

Lon's email:

Buccaneer Gun Club is renovating its IDPA Ranges and as a result their IDPA Match for this Saturday is canceled. Anthill Range will instead hold a match and it will start at the usual time of 10AM with check-in at 9:30AM (at Anthill Range).

There will be five high round count stages (you will need approximately

100 rounds of ammunition) and concealment (vest, jacket etc.) will be required. The cost for the match is $15 if you sign up online prior to midnight on September 1st and $20 after that time or at the match. Anthill is a cold range and eye and ear protection is required for everyone including spectators. The link for signing up is here:

The match scheduled for Anthill Range this Saturday, September 2nd has been CANCELED because of predicted heavy rains. Please join us for our next match at Buccaneer Gun Club on Saturday, October 7th at 10AM.

Now we just have to dodge Hurricane Irma for any shooting on Sept 9th.

Our regularly scheduled Buccaneer Gun Club IDPA match for Saturday, October 7th 2017 will start at our usual time of 10AM and will be an IDPA rules B.U.G. (backup Gun) match. The match fee is reduced to $10 if you signup online (Link is below in this email) before midnight, Friday October 6th and $15 after that time or at the match. Signing up online helps us with check-in, scoring and management. Please bag and unbag your firearms in one of our safe areas. They are clearly marked as such and if you are unsure, just ask one of the match personnel to direct you to one. An IDPA BUG match is designed for semi-automatic handguns of at least .380 caliber with barrels of 3.5" or less, and revolvers with 2.5" inch and shorter barrels. If you choose to shoot the match with a handgun that is not BUG legal you may do so, but you will be scored as NOT FOR COMPETITION. In a BUG match concealment is not required, you will not be required to draw from a holster (most shooting starts with your handgun held at low ready), and reloads are done off the clock. Targets are generally closer than you will see in a regular IDPA match, so this is a great venue for introducing new shooters (spouses, sons, daughters, etc.) to the sport. We are planning six stages with two five round strings each so plan on around 60 rounds, but if for some reason you have to reshoot a stage bring a few extra. Please observe the 13MPH speed limit when entering and leaving the club. The link for signing up at the match is: http://www.idpamatchsignup.com?matchid=D1CC7CBF-B278-440D-AADB-387E421630A0

Good shooting with you Dave and thanks. That was a fun match and a bunch of good folks to spend a day on the range with.
