Buckshot patterning..

As an aside...Im not much of a hunter, so I dont expect too much from my buckshot loads. Didnt take me long to realize that withing 20-30 yards, most anything will put a hurtin on anything the barrel is pointing at. I know for hunting and what not going all technicalfied is important...but for up close and personal smackin distance, buckshot is buckshot as long as it goes bang when its supposed to go bang, so Ive stacked it deeper than I will ever realistically be needed of any freakin type I can find on sale.

So 2 rounds of 9 pellets and your hand could cover almost all the holes at 40’ … if you’re planning on using it for HD I’d say the EMT’s responding would have one hell of a time doing something to “help”.

Along the lines of what I was thinking…

Getting hit with 9 .33 round balls (486gr total) moving at 1300 don’t sound anything but terminal and that’s just one.

Box indicates 1325 fps, but setting up my chrono to verify didn’t seem like such a swell idea.
You need a big sheet of AR500 with a big hole in it.

For good or ill, reading the OP I pictured Paul Harrell pulling the box of shells from his pocket:

"Today we'll be shooting Estate, green-and-red box; twelve gauge; two and three quarter-inch; nine pellets of double-aught buck."

And I just heard that in his voice.
