A friend and I found a deal on Armslist, one of the magpul Rem 700 hunter stocks in long action. So naturally, we needed a long action Remington 700. So thanks to Grabagun, a local FFL, and a few hundred dollars worth of accessories, I am now the proud owner of a sporter barreled .300 Winmag semi-precision rifle.
It came with the cheapie 3-9x40, but I added the EGW rail and ADM QD Recon +20MOA (a little too much...switching to rings) just playing around.
Future mods to come are a Timney trigger, the 870-to-Magpul buttpad adapter with a Limbsaver pad, and a Vortex PST optic. I will have a gunsmith chop the barrel to 22" and thread for future toys. Fun!
