Got to admit I get jealous when I see the Charlotte guys gab about their regular meet ups.

Any Foothills guys want to do like a once-a-month supper (dinner if you’re a northern transplant) meet up at like Norman’s in Vale?

That would be awesome! Weekend or evening?

Pick! Personally I’m flexible to a degree.
I’m not married to Norman’s, I just don’t know many options that would be centrally located for a few counties.

@Oldguy maybe can add some options

I had a facebook group that done meet ups once.
Tuesday evenings seemed to be the best for everyone. Not a weekend or a church night.

I would do it. I hear Honey Hog Restaurant is good and that gives access to the counties you mentioned. That is either Lincoln or Cleveland. I’m in Catawba.

Burke County here...definitely interested

Lincolnton, Maiden, Newton, Hickory, Vale, Crouse, Denver... All are within reasonable driving distance. Cherryville or nearer to Shelby wouldn't be out of the question...

Caldwell here. Tagged for interest.

Honey Hog is a good spot, so is Jug Town Tavern in Vale. Bar food, but pretty good. Cooksville Gril is pretty good, too, but I dont think theyre doing dine in rt now.
I shoot at the range behind Normans and eat breakfast going in or lunch coming out a lot and its just average. Not somewhere Id try to do a group lunch. Mitchems Kitchen on 27 is the same style menu but better food.
Not much in Cherryville to speak of thats not a chain and actually decent. Ever since Mac whats-his-last name the cook left Shake Shop years ago, its not even worth looking out the window at when you drive by. He opened a little joint beside the Food Lion thats pretty good, but its size and layout cant handle a group of more than four lol.
The Court Street Grill in Lincolntin is pretty legit.
Im down to break bread with yall, this is just my $.02 worth on the eateries in the area.

Enjoyed the Honey Hog each of the 4 visits I had there, each one with a Harley riding group. They also own the chicken and fish joint across the street. I’d like to see and meet everyone, preferably when there’s no Gun Show to go to.

Cleveland County here and also interested. So far this thread has come up with every location I would have said. It's a shame to hear about the Shake Shop though, used to love that little place. I'm tied up a good bit for the next month but would love to get together with the group. When it comes to food, I'm easy.

It would be nice to put a face with some of the posters although Western NC people remember restaurants have rules. Wear shoes and don’t bring your pet pot belly pig.
Dude, I don’t even own a pot bellied pig anymore. I’d be down to a meet-up with you guys somewhere that doesn’t suck.

To me it's more about meeting than the food, that said I don't hate money.
Honey Hog has been mentioned a couple times, and I know several people from Morganton that routinely drive to Mitchem's. So narrow it down to those two?

What night of the week is most convenient for the most people? Personally Mon-Thur around 6-7pm works best for me, but I can do weekend. Just spitballin but earlier in the week (the slower days) may be easier for a restaurant to seat a group. Anyways, we get a place and day settled and I'll call wherever is decided and make sure it won't be a problem.

And if there's anyone West of Morganton you're welcome to leave your car at my place and ride with me.

Burke county here, I'd be interested depending on my work schedule.
Norman's is right across the street from Bullseye isn't it? Honey hog isn't bad either.

Yer just jealous.

FYI, me too. One o' these days, we WNC-ers gotta get meetin-n-eatin organized.
Yep expect a text soon for some thoughts
