C&E Gun Show in Raleigh this weekend (12/19-12/20)

I bumped into a feller selling a beautiful, single shot, 22lr Auschutz. I'm assuming it's a 1416, or a variant. Hats off to @cubrock. He made change for me (twice) for the purchase. Now have buyers remorse. I'm 22lr poor.

Ammo very high. If it gets worse, some of us will have to take up a new hobby. Handgun prices all over the scale. Ruger Wranglers for $199 to $249. Surprised at some of the Glock prices. A few were reasonable. As usual, a lot of knives, especially Damascus work. Saw a new 50th anniversary model of Marlin's model 60. Walnut stock was nice. Very tempted, but the best he would do was $480 OTD. When I left it was still there. It's still 10 years old ;). Not a lot of Ruger products Overall though, a good show.
Yeah, I saw that Marlin60 as well. Good looking little rifle, the price was a deal killer. I seem to remember that guys prices being reasonable overall.

I went out to the show today to look around expecting a little wait to get in. Showed up at 1 pm and walked right up to get a ticket with no wait whatsoever. That part was good, walked in saw a fair amount of vendors, that was good too, but then I soon felt bad for the vendors. Many said it had been surprisingly slow so far. Does C&E just do a poor job of advertising and promoting? I think so. I wouldn’t have known about this show had they not texted me a coupon. Maybe they should buy some billboard space like the Dixie show? I was sure to invite friends and spread the word. Hoping tomorrow picks up for them.
Overall a good show as far as items for sale and number of vendors.
I think they get on the bandwagon on prices and hurt themselves as they are a retail or above in so situations and whats the point of paying to pick up a firearm at retail. Other than the looking for something you want and cannot find and maybe being able to see it and hold it. I came close to going out to see if anyone had a Sig 1911 Fastback Nightmare but not likely.

When the shows are in the Expo building they are well attended.
