Evening all, looking to get scout type scope. I believe the new buzzword these days is LVZ-LGBTQ something or another...

Anyway, something in the 1-4x or 1-6x zoom w/ 20-24mm objective. illuminated reticle. somewhere in the 2-500$ price range.

Can y'all aficionados of brands provide me with the following info:

1. Make/Model
2. Typical sales price
3. Doorbuster/clearance sale price + how often they come up at this price from reputable retailers

This would be hugely helpful to me in not having buyer remorse or losing a great opp... For example a 'sale' at Cabelas or bass pro is basically the cost at any other online retailer (these stores are usually at MSRP and therefore sales disingenuous). However I missed a 'deal' at optics planet during Black Friday for a 1-4 Leupold that was 450$ (VX-Patrol I believe--the ones with illuminated reticle) and have not seen the price since. that one was a true bargain price....

Just trying to get my expectations/timelines together here and narrow down the right purchase.

thanks all

Psa will run the 1-8 strike eagle with a mount for $299. I bought one last year and like it pretty good. It’s my first LPVO.

LPVO! that was it.

Thanks.

You see the PST being worth extra money over the strike eagle?

Low Power Variable Optic.
Just my opinion:
Spend the money to get Steiner 1-4x24 for 4 power. Or, the PST 1-6x24 for 6 power.

The price/performance ratio of these two are going to be difficult to beat.

The Trijicons Derek posted are pretty sweet, too, if you like the available reticles. I'd prefer the red bdc which is sold out.
