Was wondering what the rv owners here park thier campers on. Im moving mine to a grassy spot in the yard, but dont want to have to cut weeds and grass under it. Concrete is out of budget right now. Suggestions? Thanks y’all!

I put my wheels on pressure treated planks and sprayed round up underneath. Might do gravel some day but I'm not in any hurry.

Place gravel pads where the wheels will be.
Then put the camper up on treated wood blocks, tires and stabilizer feet.

I made two rows of 4"x8"x16" solid concrete blocks with the 16" sideways to back my camper onto. It gets the tires 3.5" to 4" above ground and the 16" width is wide enough( wiggle room) I can back it into place using the truck mirrors and not need help. I also placed a brick crossways to give me a stop locator. Where my camper is parked I do not need to spray Roundup, but just for insects.

We have a vacant single wide with a gravel drive on our property that we park ours in. I put wheel chocks under the tires and let it be. I would like to know the reason for putting treated blocks under the tires.

So the wood does not rot from ground contact.

The wood it to keep the tires uff the ground, be it greaves or dirt, to slow rot from ground contact

Any chance you could post a pic of this?

I have a load of fill sand sitting nearby. Can i frame out a pad with landscape timbers, put weed fabric down, and put down some salt treated planks under the tires? Im not sure how the sand will settle once it rains a few times. Anyone done it this way? Thanks again!

You really don't even need the sand. Just boards. And really need covers as well. Keeps the uv from deteriorating the rubber.

Having a tamped base of gravel is nice as it helps keep water away from your boards.
You could also use concrete pavers if you like.
Just get the tires up off the ground.

Ok thanks for all the suggestions y’all! I may try a hybrid solution of all of the above! Also, thanks leemajors for reminding me to order the tire covers!!!

I gravel and spray.
