Can I put a vertical grip on a VRF14 "other weapon"?

It cannot for the life of me find a clear answer to this mostly because Google just lumps it in with all the folks wanting to do it to pistols.

It's a "firearm" so I'm totally baffled.

I think that since it has a 14 inch barrel, adding a vertical foregrip would convert it into “AOW” status, necessitating that it be registered under the NFA. Angled foregrips should be okay.

ATF is bad and smelly.

Since it is not a pistol should be no problem, consider using a Magpul AFG2. That's what I have on my VRF14.

Barrel length doesn’t matter in this situation. The OAL is what’s important. Needs to be at least 26”, which is what the info at the link says it is.
