Que is around the legal aspect.
I recently purchased a AK rifle with no stock, from fellow member. While I am still trying to decide between a 1913 adapter vs M4 stock options, Is it legal to use this rifle in its current configuration at a range?

Thanks

i saw a news story about a crackhead lady who went down for an illegal SBR because the took the stock off her 10/22

what you may have there is a 16" barrel pistol, if anybody asks. don't give anybody a reason to ask.

You’d need to explain exactly what you bought.

A rifle is designed to be fired from the shoulder, so it needs a stock. If it’s never had a stock, it’s never been a rifle.

The <26” OAL doesn’t automatically turn it into an SBR. It all depends on how it came from the factory, etc.

Here's the rifle in question. It is a Cugir RH-10 imported by Century Arms. It definitely started its life as a Rifle with 16 in barrel. Previous owners removed the factory stock and added a 1913 pic rail to the rear trunnion for attaching a compatible stock.

The barrel length being 16” doesn’t make it a rifle.

Was it imported with a stack? (I’m assuming so when you mention the factory stock being removed.) That would make it a rifle.

If it came with a stock, and is now stockless with an OAL <26”, you have an unregistered SBR under the “weapon made from a rifle” definition.
