I am trying to buy just about any lever action gun that I have dies for. Missed a Rossi 16" ss barrel that would have matched my 44 magnum but did not have a pistol in 45 Colt or any dies. Not the right time to buy both and equipment to reload the new caliber.
I did pick up another Winchester 94 30-30 to go along with my pre-64 30-30. Do not like shooting the pre -64. Got the Rossi because I have 2 44 magnums and one 44 special. As soon as a 357/38 comes around I will end up with one of them. That is my next goal. Then you have some of the off the wall calibers,44-40, 50-70 and the like are on a different playing field.

I thought that i was hooked on AR rifles (have 3 AR-15,300 BO and 9 MM and was thinking 6.5 Creed Moore) but got interested in leveler actions rifles. You just do not build them. Also, in 10 years the lever action would be worth more than the AR IMHO. FLAME SUIT IS ON

Right now I have a Marlin 39-A pre-64 22, Winchester pre-64 30-30 in 90% shape, new Marlin 45-70 ranger, coming this week a Winchester 94 between or around 82 30-30. Also, have a Ruger 1 in 45-70. Praying for a 357/38 very soon before I run out of money.

Would love to see a Lever Action Sub-section

I've got a Win 94 in 30-30, and a Rossi 16" 38/357 that I really like.

From a reloader's viewpoint, I can tell you that the Rossi really likes the FP/XTP 158gn bullets on top of 300-MP powder. 1800fps and about 1.5" groups with a peep sight @ 50 yards. The 30-30 I have not drilled down to a good load for it yet. I'm thinking of adding a Marbles peep sight to it like I did the Rossi.

Leverguns are my thing. I love my fantastic black plastic carbines, and have several, but levers are what I love. Currently the stable has 2 Marlin 336 30-30's, 2 Winchester 94 30-30's, A pre-64 Win 94 in 32 special, A Marlin 1895 in 44 mag, and a Rossi 92 in 357 mag.

Over the years I've sold several of my marlin 30-30's. At one point I think I had 5 of them.

I want to get a Henry .22 in the near future, and a Rossi 92 in 45LC. And I've debated picking up a Marlin 45-70, but between the stout recoil and the cost of reloading, I can't see myself shooting it often.

Seems like lever actions have really kicked up in popularity the last couple of years. I would be all for a separate section, but I think they fit fine in here if they are pistol caliber.

I have been wanting a Henry in .38/.357 myself for a while. I should put an ACOG on it...

I want one in 38/357 for a suppressor host, even though I've never even shot, much less owned, a lever gun.

Keep 'me here. Lever actions are the "original" pistol caliber carbines! Don't let the autoloaders think that they came up with something new.

We can trace this back to about 1874-ish, when Colt started offering the SAA in .44/40 which was paired with the 1873 Winchester. Perhaps even earlier when revolvers were made or converted to .44 Rimfire which shared ammo with the 1860 Henry and the 1866 Winchester.
