Can't find chicken wings, diapers, or a new car?

I bought a slightly used truck from a pretty big new car dealer in January. Went by 2 weeks ago to pick up a key fob and they offered me a full refund plus any interest I had paid. Salesman told me he could probably get $1-2k more due to the shortage of trucks

Mighty generous of the poor boys, wasn’t it? And they wonder why they rank with Lawyers and Politicians on the most-hated list.....👹

My buddy told me that he had his car dealership call and offer him 9k more than he paid for his 2020 Silverado. Problem is there isn't anything to replace them with.

Went by the EZGO golf cart place today in Mt. Gilead to order some tires for my in-laws. The guy I was dealing with said the price of carts has went up $1000 in the past 2 weeks.

Chicken wings are unemployment fuel? Who knew.

My wife is looking for a new car to replace her Honda with 300k+ miles on it. Either no inventory or no haggling. One dealer we talked to spoke about MSRP + 3% "market adjustment" being common... and folks were paying it.

I think we're going to keep the old Honda for a bit longer

If you can hold out for the global supply chains to catch up, that’s definitely the way to go. There isn’t really an end in sight for the electrical component shortages However, if you’re going to keep the new car for 300k as well, an extra $5-10k over the life of that vehicle isn’t the end of the world.

I have a 16mo old and thankfully we haven’t seen issues with diapers. [knocks on wood]

I called about a new motorcycle about a month or so ago, I had checked online inventories and hadnt seen much online.
Anyway, sales rep told me that typically leading into summer they had about 3 or 400 units...currently had about 30. And most of what was coming in a few weeks from then was already sold.

China shut down. Suez canal, whatever. Shortages have, and are, happened.
We'll get back to normal in time.

I Had a dealer offer me 8800 for my 2004 four wheel drive F150 STX with 215,000 miles on it. He said he could sell it for 9500 or more in the market right now. I laughed my butt off. I asked him what would put me in and he was flabbergasted that I asked that. He had nothing much to sell but used stuff. I told him thanks but no thanks

I bought a new vehicle in December and was going to sell my Subaru at that time via Craigslist. Private sale value at the time was $14,700, but I never seem to have the time to clean it up and sell it. Fast forward to last week, and I ended selling it through Carvana for $18,300. (CarMax offered $17,600). I could’ve got more via private sale, but I was happy not to deal with Craigslist buyers

Sometimes my procrastination pays off.

Today I had sold the utility trailer that I had bought when I got the Subaru. Paid $876 tax included in 2017. Sold it for $1100 cash.

Got a Bunch of Wings the other day from the local Food Lion, they were cheap too.
I was a bit surprised after all the conflation I have heard... They were tasty!!!
