So I sent this rifle to Long Hunter in Texas to do an action job. They also put a nice brass sight on the front, and they did their case coloring on it.

I think it turned out well. So did my turkey

Very sharp. I'm wanting the Henry .357 with CCH & octagonal barrel something fierce.

Nice job on the lever gun.

Nice job on the lever gun.

Definitely. When I get my mitts on that Henry, I'm gonna send my 6.5" Blackhawk to Tyler's Gunworks (he does Henry's CCH) to fit a SBH grip frame & hammer, good front sight, tune/action job & to refinish with CCH & rust bluing.

Hi much youins tek fer dat Turkey?
Mary said you didn't have enough money. I'm inclined to believe her. Hahahaha

You'll get a kick outta this: she said " he'll have her on the wall". I'm like WTF are you talking about.... She thought you owned that house with all the trophy mounts. (Michael458, I think) She said " she will be stuffed on the wall, beside a Bison or something". I'm still laughing.

I'm still disappointed that the emu/ostrich he shot didn't explode like a down pillow.

I have a Henry Big Boy in. 357, but it's not great for SASS. So I stuck it in the safe and bought the Marlin. Thst Henry is super nice too.

I'd love to try SASS, but man is the buy-in for equipment steep. 'N I'm still saving up for good leather for the cowboy guns I've already got. Infinite wants, but finite means. Lol!

What method does the use for color casing? It looks like the cyanide outcome to me. Is cyanide the historical method for old lever guns?

We do color casing at school.
