I’ve also been a bluegrasser for a lot of years. I may have tasted it a time or two. Anybody else pick a bit? Don and I did a wee bit the last get together that ChickenHawk hosted.

I was mulling over hosting a locals only steel challenge /falling plate type match. And /Or a shotgun jungle run type match with clays on stands placed along trail.
Not really setup for hosting a proper food type get together. Bring a sandwich and let's shoot is what I had in mind.
I had early to mid March in mind but I'm flexible. Hell, we could easily have a campfire and a Dutch oven stewpot but complicated chow ain't in the cards at my crib.
I'm maxed out at 7-8, so gotta keep it only for those who want to shoot the matches.
I just don't have the setup or safety protocols in place for spectators and such.

Yeah, I’ve been a bit out of sorts of late as ChickenHawk knows with my shoulder and my place is a bit too small for a group. It’s awesome of @Slacker to be willing to set up a match. I’m planning on smoking some Q so that folks can have a sammich or two while we all chat. The place that I initially had in mind that would have been able to handle 30 or so folks fell through. I’m talking with another landowner a bit now right on the state line. If he decides to let us use his place, we’ll be able to grub after Slacker gets done with the match/s. Again, I’ll advise when I find a suitable place. Until then, do you guys have anything in mind?
 
If someone else wants to take the lead on this as my initial location and plan tanked, it’d be great. I’ll still cook for you guys wherever we end up if y’all want me to.
