Any reccomendations? My father is in a wheel chair and I am getting my mother and him classes for Christmas. Any input would be appreciated.

Where are you located?? Without knowing that it's going to be difficult.....

Sorry I am located in Warrenton---It is about an hour NE of Raleigh on the VA boarder.

Have you taken them, or do they regularly go shooting? If they're comfortable putting holes in paper at seven yards I think they'll do just fine. Being in a chair may be a slight impediment with the way most indoor ranges are set up, but nothing that would be a show stopper. Except for the need to demonstrate proficiency with 40 out of 50 in the COM area of a silhouette target, most of the process is classroom and mobility will have no impact.

My dad regularly shot until his accident and my mom is getting lessons ( has shot but has been years). I am taking them out to shoot a .22 and will likely have them take the class with it. I am somewhat worried about recoil with my dad as being in a chair has caused him to have carpal tunnel issues.

Scott and John are top notch. I've taken a number of classes with them over the years. I also work with individuals with various disabilities.

I watched in person recently John and Scott work with another instructor to adapt a class to an individual to make it accessible. They did excellent work in that regard and generally as teachers of the craft.
