Have always used your typical SD card trail cams but looking to upgrade to some Verizon cell tower trail cams. Any recommendations on what to take a look at and what to avoid? We have zero AT&T so need to stick to something with Verizon coverage.

On the recommendation of my neighbor I just purchased a Moltrie Edge,
$99.99 cellular camera for security use. It does not use SD card. It also supposed to connect to the strongest cell signal in the area. All I can tell you right now is it works, sends pic to my phone, have no idea what cell service it is connected to. the only thing I wish I could do from my phone is cut it on/off. I needed one pretty quick so I didn’t do a lot of research.

I got a Browning Pro Scout a year ago. Easy to setup account and camera works pretty good. Cheap plan sends photos to my phone twice a day. Batteries last a while, night shots are decent. Uses Verizon and sd card.

SIL uses a Tacticam Reveal on his WV hunting land and he loves it. Needs Verizon or AT&T service, your cell carrier makes no difference.
His plan is $5 per month.
I've seen the pics/videos and they are great!

I have two of the Bushnell cell cams. I am pretty sure that they’re Verizon.
I picked them up from Academy on sale for $90 each.
There’s a monthly subscription of $14.99 but it is pretty close to a real time cam. I’ve gotten an alert on my phone ,seen a Buck on my corn, and gone out to find him still there in pretty much the same spot.

They have been sorry!!!! They crap out in less than a year.

the one non cell camera that seemed to work wall, got washed out during Hurricane Flo

I run 2 spypoints now. I will not buy anything that says Moultrie ever again.
I had 1 spypoint and it has resulted in me NEVER buying something that says spypoint on it again it failed with in 90 days and they would not help me in any way shape or form. Will have add moultrie to that list as well.

Maybe that’s why Walmart by me is closing out Moultrie EXOs for $30

I could understand. I'm not saying they're great, but they are better than the others.

Ended up buying a Moultrie Mobile Delta Base from academy as they were on sale for $69.99. We will see how it works. I just ordered a second one to put up at the cabin… good service there but so so here in Youngsville.

Will update you all once some pictures start coming through. Crazy how inexpensive these things have gotten
