CFF Charlotte-Area Mountain Bike Crash-Fest: Threequel

Haha nice. We snuck in about 20 miles on the greenway this morning but the greenway is just a consolation prize compared to the trails.
 
I hit up Fisher Farms bike fest today. Badass trails out there. Im whooped after 11 miles.

Yup. The one gully with nasty roots to drop off of to a 6foot ish long 4x4 to cross over then up nasty roots on the other side was nerve racking. Didnt make the climb out.
I rode every trail out there. There were a few spots I had to hike thru. Wasnt ready for the god awefull grunt work required in those areas. Rode the new trail 3 laps. Great flow and bunches of jumps for 2 miles.
 
If you guys get out to Raleigh and need a guide for our 30 plus miles of singletrack, let me know.

Lake Crabtree trails- 6 miles
Rocky Road- 8 miles
286 trail- 20 miles (lots of jumps, including some ballsy gap jumps)
Umstead- 16 miles gravel road
 
I’m gonna have to bow out the next two weeks guys, have plans with the wife & family.

Karen and I are definitely riding this weekend. If there's nothing else going on, we'll probably go to Sherman tomorrow morning.

I ended up with 1x12, 10-50 eagle. Climbs like a goat now. Can shift thru multiple gears at one time. Its pretty nice.

What time at Sherman?
 
Another awesome ride in the books! The Old Folks Division of the Carolina Firearms Forum Mountain Bike Crashfest Group, or the OFD-CFFMBCG as you've probably seen us called, kicked ass and did all three parts of Sherman in record time!* You young whippersnappers are going to have a tough time keeping up the next time you manage to drag your sorry butts out of bed and go riding. :D

Mike Overlay, being the cycling stud he is, decided he didn't have enough miles in yet and last we saw he was headed to Fisher Farms for some more abuse riding.
