This month's target and rules provided by @ECNC who I believe was also the winner of last month's challenge.

I have copied his post from the other thread below. Once again, this is @ECNC 's target and rules. All questions and complaining when you realize you aren't as good as you thought will need to be taken up with him! ;)

So is everyone in for TACK DRIVER?
Everything shot at 50 yards

RULES:2

1. Bullet holes to count have to be inside of black circle. If they (holes) touch inside black/white they count.
2. Bullet holes outside of black circle DO NOT count. If they touch black/white outside they DO NOT count
3. A tie will be determined by clean shots inside the black circle not touching any part of Black circle
4. One shot per circle
5. Lower circles are sighters. Put as many there as you want
6. More then one hole in a target circle counts as a zero
7. Same rest rules and Ammo rules as before
8. Enter one target of each size. A place will be given for each size then an over all winner

Contest ends July 30.

I was not the winner. I believe second. The reason I posted it up was to quite the bickering down. But hopefully that is behind us now.

Going to go shoot this morning. It has been a few years since I have shot these so this will be an interesting morning

Well went out this morning. Not that good.
Rifle: Anschutz 64s BR
Ammo: Eley Match
Scope: Weaver T-36x40

Going to print a few off tonight in hopes of getting out to try it Friday afternoon. Are you guys shooting the 3/8 or 1/2 target? Figured it would be more fun if we all shot the same one.

Not much action on this one so far. Y'all scared? Or trying it and embarrassed of your scores? :p

I just printed my targets, and hoping to try it Thursday morning...and mine will be posted even if they're all zeros!!

I should be able to shoot tomorrow. If not definitely this weekend. :) These are alot harder than the other one! Lol

I am hoping to make it out again Friday. Those first two targets I shot, well they just suck!

I'm staying out because of the required round count. Heck it would cost me an arm and a leg to shoot this months format.

50 to a hundred rounds of 22lr for two targets? Shoot one target then 25 rounds.

My neighbor just told me about this. I just joined and have a cz 455 varmint. I will print these out and try in a little while with some federal gold match.

You may wish to introduce yourself in the Welcome Section.

Alright; here's what we ended up with today.

First, the conditions. Definitely breezy. And the picnic table I was using was about 4" too narrow for my Caldwell bag rests to fit on, so both the front and rear were hanging off.

These targets really showed me how a lighter trigger would make things easier, as would a stronger scope. At 7X, I pretty much covered up the entire tack. The best way I could line up was just use all the other tacks to align the reticle. :D

First, for anybody that hasn't tried it, here's what the dang target looks like from 50yd. It's the two sheets on the left...ignore the stand that's at the halfway distance, as that was for some Sub2K fun afterwards.

Scored a 9 on the 1/2":

And a 5 on the 3/8":

Told ya I was posting mine regardless of the outcome. I'm just glad I didn't come home with a double goose egg. :p

...and if I do it again, it'll be one round of 20ga birdshot from my 12.5" SBS!!

I'm waiting on my rail for my Ruger 77/22. Hope to have it early next week. Ordered some ammo too (double secret kinda stuff) and plan on mounting a Zeiss scope on the rifle. Now all I need is to hit 10 tacks to stay ahead of BigWaylon! ;)

Heck, at this point I can basically say I'm in 2nd place at the halfway point.

No need to mention that 2nd is also last.

I don't shoot bench rest and have a 3-9x33 scope so I feel your pain. Good on you for shooting and posting.

I went out the other day but it was harshly windy. I shall try again on my next day off. i know for sure i will not be one of the tops though as i see some stiff competition

Had a chance to get out this morning. 1/2" was better 21 vs 20 last time. 3/8" was worse 13 vs 16 last time.

That doesn't bump me to third since you already posted the first ones. I'm sticking to my "2nd place at the halfway point" and retiring!! :D

Next time I am shooting that 3/8 inch (DAMN 3/8") target first. Seems I always do better on the first one.

Got some shooting done. Ran out of light to shoot the b22 fv-sr but I did get the old 84c out. I did pretty bad but it's ok because I did better on the small target than the big one! Lol don't know how I managed that one.

I think the score is 6 on the 3/8 and 2 on the 1/2 with 3 I forgot to shoot.... Lol :) :)

Was able to shoot yesterday evening. The wind was still blowing a little. 11 in the 3/8 and 18 in the 1/2. CZ 455 Varmint

This looks like fun! What do I do? Just shoot the targets any time and post results?

Yes post pic of targets and your set up. July match ends midnight on the 31 and then a new match will be posted. This is all for fun, so enjoy
