CGGR Sept USPSA

Carry Optics?
If not production then most likely, set-up should finally be together by then, will have to get to the range to zero it, and dry fire like crazy to get comfortable drawing to the dot. Waiting to get on a friend's mill was not the best route, should've been shooting it months ago.

SS project might be up by then too, if ugly.

cool, I'm in.
Worst case just start name dropping screen names. They won't have a clue, but it'll be funny for any member that walks in.

Seriously though, you won't have any trouble with that.

Hit em up with rule 6.4.1 if they get goofy (Cause all none members know about that rule :D ). That states that membership is required for level 2 and up matches, not required for club matches.

Is this a good match to attend to take a break from idpa? I have really been wanting to get into uspsa. Idpa is getting boring.

Oh yeah. The level of match quality here will have you throwing rocks at idpa matches.
What say ye ole @ hlpressley. :D

More stages, more rounds, and very rarely will a stage not have multiple good options for how to run it. I think the squad choices have gotten slim. Just pick one.

Well I'm on squad 4. How many rds and mags should I bring? Besides that, anything that you wish that you should have brought to your first match but didn't?

Whatcha shooting?
Max required round count on a stage is 32 I believe.
I like to start with at least 50 between the gun and belt. I usually take 300.
Production is ten rounds in the mag at the start signal. Limited load up 140mm max mag length. Single stack 10 minor, or 8 major. Open 170mm mag.

A chair is nice. Sunscreen. Snacks, drinks.

What are pistol are you shooting, what division?

G34 limited minor... I will bring 5 mags and enough ammo. Will also bring my lunch box which will double as my chair.
Their matches are great, and one piece of advice: if part of the shooting area extends way down range or into an odd corner, there is a reason for it! Best of luck and enjoy the match.

@Mike Overlay aint kidding you! One taste of the USPSA candy and you'll be wondering what the heck you've been doing all this time! Trust me, I was an IDPA guy for several years myself. There simply is no comparison if you like to shoot!

First I was all yeah, I have time to get this sighted in and figure out drawing to the dot...

Then I was all, why the hell won't the striker go in? Some dummy  melted the channel liner, maybe next time, maybe I rob one out of another, probably next time.

Best level I match I've shot. I was challenged in pretty much every way; stage planning, accuracy, patience, and movement. Came out of the match with a lot of things to work on.

Had a ton of fun. Have to get use to the hf scoring. Will go faster and not worry about getting a zone hits as much. Will probably change divisions or get a new gun if I want to stay in limited. Shooting minor sucks.

The 9mm carbines looked like a blast.

I will definitely be back.

What a fun match. I actually think I need to have my vision checked. The 3 steel targets that were 25 yards and beyond blurred out for me. I couldn't pick up the little popper on stage 5. I lost 2nd place Production on that 1 plate.
