Chimney over some paper towel that I hut with a little lighter fluid. Leaves no residual taste on the lit coals

Yep......lights every time...........wind proof...............and smells like french fries while heating up.

No petroleum odors or lingering fuel taste in the charcoal.

We also microwave bacon on top of paper towels and save the grease filled towels in a zip lock bag for lighting charcoal later. You'll be surprised how often you'll use paper towels with cooking oil or animal fat in them such as wiping down cast iron cookware.

All of them make excellent charcoal lighter and are easily saved in a zip lock back in your fridge.
