Charlotte/defunding police talk.

Not clicking the link but let me guess, being led by Braxton Winston?
Yes he is mentioned as stating he doesn’t need to see any studies on violence in Charlotte and is supports it. Also referred to pepper spray as chemical agents used on rioters and protestors. How people like to twist words is remarkable. I’m glad you guys post this stuff so I can keep my family out of that newly lead city that is becoming more and more dangerous. I stopped spending money in Charlotte proper about five years ago. When I get a training class emailed I send back a decline due to safety concerns. It actually works. I have gotten responses back that future training will move from the airport area to Huntersville or Cornelius.

What happens when a large metro city, second in the nation in banking industry, collapses in on itself when that industry leaves due to it becoming Detroit-like on the streets?

Stay tuned for more at 11...

We finally have a no limit game preserve, with really wily game but it's trophy only because the meat is surely tainted?

Sure, people gotta get from there and back again!

Just remember there are some people that live in the city limits that are on your side. ;)

(even if I’m only a couple hundred yards inside the limits)

Charlotte has seen white flight at a high rate for two decades. You see it in the council now and mayor which became both democratic and black. Take that activist Braxton Winston which shows voters are not concerned with experience or vision. The political correct words are “democratic led.” I call BS. Cities majority led by black council and mayors have always been hesitant to quell rioters and even less likely to combat crime. Policy is reactive verses proactive.

It will not matter to Charlotte’s leaders if an industry leaves. All that matters is re-election and that happens when you meet the specs and follow the bullhorn crowds request (term is threats). By the way mayors are figure heads. Council Persons make policy.

I did get wind, a smelly wind, of what was discussed in council. It was typical Minnesota talk, started by one dollywig. Allow for um, "violence interupters" to do an intervention in a high crime area. Like a "community organizer". Introduced by Egleston, who wanted it to start in Sept., Braxton asks why not now.

Anyway, the concept has been tried and failed on Oakland, Chicago, DC. Now it's Charlotte, N.Orleans, Nashville.

The Ferguson Effect: Report for work on time. Follow the rules to the letter. Answer the radio. Drive the speed limit. Take reports. Go home.

Well, we keep saying we need smaller govt. A govt. That can’t enforce its will certainly is smaller in practice if not in principle.

The "Squad" was out in full force yesterday. I'm not sure Geo Washington or even Nickolai Lenin would comprehend what in he!! government they're talking about.

You got that a little bit backwards, kind of.
Yes, there were race rebellions in detroit, but it didn't really become "DETROIT" until after the resulting white flight and industries all moved outside the city limits. No more department stores, no tax base, scarcity of grocery stores, and the stores that did stay open had to have inflated prices to counter losses.
Like what's going on now, the protesting/rebellion were viewed as having some valid concerns (i'd say the concerns back then were more valid). However, the looting and burning were not as tolerated/encouraged back then like they are now.

I've been watching the riots around the country for the past couple years thinking "this isn't the one". When Floyd got killed I thought "oops, this could be the one".
And now we have racist BLM mayors/councils encouraging people to loot stores, then demanding the stores reopen, and calling them racist for thinking they could have a better bottom line somewhere else. upside-down world.

Defund the police if you think that’s the right decision but I don’t want to hear a word when people start protecting themselves.
If you think the police are brutal just wait til your dealing with a pissed off dad, a scared mom or someone who just wants to be left alone, those people will be brutal.

Let's go back to peace officers they say. Well that's were they are headed the community gang will be the local peace officers. Defund the police might as well be playing the sound track to the sopranos. Organized crime will sky rocket from ALL parts of society.
