I have a full size S&W M&P 2.0 9mm 4.25" barrel that I need Trijicon HD night sites installed on.

I'm a Blackstone member but I'm growing less and less happy with the direction they are going. I've asked 3 people there for pricing and have gotten 3 different quotes, none willing to put it in writing.

I've watched install videos and they state M&Ps are more difficult than most others, so I don't want to cut corners and risk poor work being done. That said, I also don't want to pay an arm & a leg.

Any direction would be appreciated.

Buy a good sight pusher and do it yourself. I've done M&P sights the hard way (i.e. no pusher) and learned the very hard way (broke two sets of night sights pounding on them with a punch/hammer). Had I forked out the ~$120 up front, I'd have saved $140 in replacement sights and kept a tool that would add some value to my gun setup (i.e. could be sold with it in the future and made back some of the investment). I would imagine a 'smith will cost nearly the same as the tool. Plus, you get an extra tool!

Is the M&P series like the Springfield XD series? You have to send those off, as they are pushed in with a 20 ton hydraulic press at the factory.

The Smith at Eagle guns did my M&P's sights back in the day.

No idea on th comparison of Springfields. They’re supposed to go in one way and out the other. Even doing that correctly, they are a be-otch royale with cheese to hammer back on. A sight pusher would have been most excellent and I greatly regret being too big of a cheapskate to buy one.

I have the correct sight pusher and have seen the best and worst of sight installs during my time at Eagle in Concord. Let me know

PS Springfield’s are the worst of all brands, I have had to mill out the front sights with an end mill before
