Cheapest primers right now?

Seems like outdoor limited had some Remington primers in the mid $60’s per thousand

Note on the $65 primers at Outdoor Limited. They are the Remington 1 1/2 primers. Not recommended for high pressure cartridges. Good for 38spl, 9mm, 45ACP, etc. For things like 357 Mag, 10mm, etc. you'll want the Remington 5 1/2 primers, or some other brand of SPP. I'm surprised at the amount of people that don't realize this or read the warning on the 1 1/2 primers. Many just assume 1 1/2 are standard and 5 1/2 are Magnum, not quite. The 1 1/2 has a very soft cup. I talked to Remington a couple years ago to inquire about the difference. This is what they told me. The warning is right there on the box.

I have no clue if these are any good but I got an email about the sale yesterday.

$50/1000

You have to remember that 10$ difference in a brick of 1000 primers is only 1 cent per primer difference. 1 cent per round difference is hardly notable, even 2 or 3 cents per round difference.

Thanks.
I just ordered 4K. Free shipping and no hazmat fee, just tax.

I like these ginex SPP. They work great for me and are 0.06 each hazmat included. Shipping from capital is only like $11. I get brass from them too. Excellent service.

the servicios argentinian primers you bought also work great. No issues for me in about 2k of them. Perhaps being a cheapskate makes me a connoisseur of cheap primers!! At $50 per thousand that’s def the best deal I know at this time!

I got an email from Natchez that they had primers on sale. I checked it out and placed an order. This put me just over 27,000 primers. As in a post I made a few years ago, I learned my lesson in 2008. For some unknown reason, primers are the first thing to disappear.

I have no issues loading or running these. I did have to adjust hammer spring in my shadow 2 though. Check goastrasports as ordering 5k gets you free shipping.

What spring pops them?

I’ve looked at them on astra a few times now wondering if they will get along with 4.5# Glock striker spring.

Free ship and hazmat posted above for 4K seems like a better deal than astray even

I was previously using an 11.5lb hammer spring in my shadow. Had a few light strikes. Moved to 13lb and never again. They also run in my pcc with no issues. Can’t say anything for glocks though.

that invoice is from 2020?

I have personally seen plenty of misfires (5 to 15%) when using this brand of primers. I would advise caution before ordering a large amount.

That's good to know. I will use them exclusively for plinking, then - instead of timed competition or self-defense loads.
