Have you ever had someone ask if you wanted to see their gun, check it out, look it over etc. and you didn't do it?
Me...no. I'll look every time even if I have the same thing.

(*Not really a good spot for a question like this so I put it in handguns but all guns are included)

I do the same. Even if it’s the same brand and model, it might have different goodies than previous ones. Looking at other peoples guns is the cheap way of trying new stuff lol.

I imagine it would get tedious if it was a job, especially if you were busy with something.
You can tell a lot about the person by just looking at their gun and everything about it, or not about it. Bone stock says something too.
I used to be able to read people fairly well by what kind of watch they wore, but no-one wears watches much anymore. But they don't need to, everyone wears their profile with a neon sign now.
But yeah, if talking shop show and tell with birds of a feather, someone offers to let me see the piece and conditions permit, absolutely. Plus I kind of think it's a bit rude to say no. It's an offer of trust. Of course that's with someone who's not a flaming freakin idiot. Then I can't get away fast enough. Those people attract cops like pigpen and dirt.

And I just remembered.
Isn't this exactly the kind of thing the commie pinko slobs useless waste of dna haters of everything that is good (and I say that with love) want to keep us from doing? Am I understanding this right? We're supposed to go to the FFL and xfer the gun so you can look at it for 5 minutes and then xfer it back? Um no.

Among other issues that would be one of them, depending on the language used.

If we're sitting around talking guns I don't usually wait to be asked. I'll ask. Not to "read" people. Just cause I'm into guns. Just me.

After the first person said “nah” I stopped asking.

I’m recalling a royal blue anodized, and I mean BLUE, Taurus knock-off of a Beretta 92 a member and friend owned. He’s on this forum but I will not call him out. Taurus needed to send him some grip screws and they kept dragging their feet.

We were in someone's driveway buying match ammo by the case for pistol matches, and he was sitting in the driver’s seat fondling that thing like it was “the ring” in “The Lord of the Rings"

Him: “I need to get rid of this thing"
Him, fondling it, nearly drooling: “Isn’t this thing beautiful??"
Me: “Sell it to your brother. He’ll buy anything."
Him: “Jimmy??"
Him: "He won’t buy this POS."
