Jason now has the molds to make holsters for the K-Frame magnums, so I thought I would show off the new leather for my Classic Series Model 19 4.25." I commissioned Jason to make a complete IDPA-ready rig (the belt is a Beltman horsehide with stiffener).

Fit and finish are great. The color is antique brown. I'll do a quick follow-up post with more information about the speedloader pouches.

Here are the new speedloader pouches. They are a new design made from (I believe) 5 oz leather; my main goal is to see how they wear in. Right now, the fit is snug and secure with several different types of K-frame speedloaders (Safariland Comp II and III as well as HKS). They will see use primarily with the Comp IIIs. Also, the design accomodates everything from 130gr .38 Special up to 158gr .357 Magnum.

I'm looking forward to giving this setup a "go" at a local match. Thanks to @chiefjason for all the communication, hard work, and great attention to detail!

Glad you like them. I'm really curious with the pouches. Personally, I would have probably buried them a little deeper but @JRV suggested that depth. And I have a tendency to over build things, so I forced myself to back off. But I did make a pouch for my Taurus 605 while I was knocking them out.

And glad you came back for that one. I've been looking for a K frame underlug mold gun for years. Someone finally made one, just under a different model number. So this helps round out my collection. S&W has some annoying variants that the mold guys don't quite keep up with. Like the K frame ejector rod vs underlug and the N frame having different cylinder widths. It's a chore just to try and keep up with it all.

Awesome looking rig. Shoulda took at least one pic with the revolver out of the holster. Just to show it off too. ;)
Probably looks something like this. :)

It’s a boring, bone-stock Model 19-9 with a trigger only a lawyer could love. Surely no one is interested in looking at that when the leather steals the spotlight!

JRV...I don't want this to come across as rude...but most of us here absolutely love even bone stock Smiths...new, old, well loved, or pristine. Many here have them, and will also look at yours with the same adoration and heart flutter as they look upon their own. They are like yellow labs...many of us might have them, but that doesn't mean I don't want to look at yours and cuddle with it and take it home with me even though I know the wife would be angry...

Blasphemy! :p
My 19-5 probably has the best stock trigger of any of my wheelies.
Action job? No, they did that when it was made. :D
