We don't sell as many machetes at the Haz-Mat remediation outfit I've been working for since late December 2019. But I do bring a lot of oysters back from Charleston about every other weekend.
Started doing demo on the old house/next rental and was reminded of this thread when I pulled out the ol’ trusty rusty Fubar. If it’s good enough to demolish a house, it’s good enough for the end times!

When I started hammering on this piece of 1084 this weekend I didn't realize a broadsword was in there....
Rufus.
10 pound sledgehammer head that I’ve had for 20+ years. My guys busted at LEAST 10 handles out of Rufus in that time frame, so about 5 years ago, I took a 24” long piece of #7 rebar and milled down the end of it to fit in the head, then welded it top and bottom until she was glowing crimson red, and quenched it in ice water.
No more handle problems.....
