Well it's December 1st so it's time for Christmas trees. Wife and daughter decorated ours today. Time to start wrapping gifts I guess.

First time with high ceilings, so I got the biggest tree I could find. It was a royal pita to get it up, standing straight, and not falling over.

We go small since we have a weird layout.

Just trimmed. 9ft of no light stringing, no watering, no dropped needle awesomeness.

    The tree is finished !
But , not the rest of the house. It was just announced that I bring down 20 more bins of decor.

Ours just got up last night. Artificial, pre-lit with white lights. We had to move furniture to be able to get it up (what with all the changes, estate stuff and boxes everywhere..)

One more time in my life I'd like to cut a cedar tree off my dad's place and put those old thumb-sized incandescent bulbs on it. That combo was a very special scent from my childhood.

This is the only pic I have for now. Wife sent it to our son and I with a “Merry Christmas ya filthy animals!“ note. I’d moved it inside and out the lights on it. She was hanging the decorations while I was under the house installing lights in the crawl space and boy was upstairs playing xbox. Evidently it’s Bailey Rey Approved.

I did get all the colored icicle lights hung on the house and the five star showers set up the day before.

Mine is still in the garage. It is already decorated though. I unplug it, put it in the Christmas Tree bag and stand it in the corner of the garage to wait for the next year.

    Unrelated project.

But maybe that’s an idea for next year. I’ll just open all the vents. Way better than being on ladders for a couple hours.

Favorite thing about mine? It’s positioned where I can water it with the kitchen sprayer. :D

There’s a funnel that goes all the way to the bottom.
