Citizen Band (11meter) SSB?

Any of you CB guys ever do Single Side Band? Are you set up to do so? I never hear any NC SSB these days...just occasional DX ship.

Nope. But I would like to do SSB on 10M since that's all a Tech amateur is licensed for (28.300-28.500) But I aint spending the hundreds of dollars for equipment to do that. I'll just talk via Echolink lol

I've got an old CB SSB rig that someone converted to 10M. It's 23 channel synthesized, so they changed a few crystals, and tweaked the front end RX section and the XMTR section, and it works great. I think I picked it up at a hamfest many years ago. The only complaint I ever had with it is the RIT (Receiver Incremental Tuning) pulls the TRANSMITTER along with it, so you still wind up chasing each other up and down whatever "channel" you're on. The RIT should ONLY move the RECEIVER. But other than that, when 10M is open, it's a great little rig!

Lots of SSB radios have that modification done to the clarifier so the transmit and receive will track together on the same frequency.
