Got a question for those shooting them. CMMG Banshee with the compact short receiver tube/buffer tube.

What is your thoughts on the short Tube with the small buffer. The buffer is in the range of 2.5 inch long so adding more weight or longer buffer for 9mm blowback may be out of the question. I have 2 of the Banshee both SBR's, a 22lr and 300BO.

Want to get feedback on what you all found or if you went a different path.
I'm on the fence about replacing the compact tube with a standard tube to run standard buffers for 9mm blowback, 5.56, 300 BO just due to the flexibility.
The 300 uses an adjustable Gas block so it is not really a problem. 556 I can also do the same but the buffer is short and light. Wonder what W&T will come from going supressed to no suppressor. May just have 2 uppers, one with suppressor one not both adjustable blocks.

Now the hard part. Yep 9mm Blowback. Sure I can just add the spacer. Have several in hand. But that buffer is really light and small. Even if I add a tungsten to it it will be a lot lighter than needed.
Short of making a custom buffer cutting down a carbine or 9mm buffer so I add weight and not the spacer, the weight will still be lighter then what I want for 147grn with a can.

Thoughts?

May be easier to just ditch the short tube and use the standard length rip stock tube. Guess it adds about 1.5 to 2" length. Not sure on the hard numbers for it.

Thinking some may have come across this with their Banshee or other guns with short tubes
