Knew it would happen soon and $20 isn't much in the garand scheme of life (haha) but CMP bumped the M1 Garand prices this week. Shipping is still free/baked into the price.

Field Grade M1 Garand - Luck of the draw SA or HRA - $650
Service Grade M1 Garand - Luck of the draw SA or HRA - $750

$20 increases here and there add up, but I agree that it’s small potatoes for the short term

I still remember buying my woodless Danes for $295 each

Well, the CMP already hinted that prices would have to rise. They said that when they got the okay to return the rifles from Philipines, CMP had to buy all new shipping crates because some of the old crates had termites and U.S. customs would not let them use any of the old crates. Then, they were not allowed to have any other cargo mixed with U.S. weapons on the cargo ship, so CMP had to charter the entire ship just to bring the rifles back. Then, the ship had to have some repairs done, and CMP had to pay for that too. IIRC, it ended up costing CMP like $5-7 million dollars to finally get those rifles back. Honestly, a $20 increase is not that big of a jump, all things considered.

I got right under the mark at $730 with it arriving on Weds. The wood on this service grade was immaculate......

If you are concerned about the $20, don't go to Starbucks for a couple of days.
