Codeisfreespeech.com (Cad files for liberator/AR15 etc)

Download away!

The government REALLY doesn't understand the distributed nature of the internet.

I was just coming over to post the same thing.

Everyone, regardless of whether or not you intend to build your own firearms, should download the files as an act of defiance if nothing else.

I'll be glad to share them if there's an FTP site I can use.

Looks like they just switched the name server. The domain registration was just updated within the last hour.

I got two at work earlier and now I’m seeing what the above are seeing.

Still down. I suspect the hosting provider they were using objected and is playing games. DNS should update within minutes.

Perhaps the site was getting hammered with requests.

Let me see if I understand this hysteria...

We're supposed to be worried that folks can anonymously download a file, use their $4000 software package to open it and print a shitty plastic gun on their $3000 3d printer, all because they don't want to spend $50 for a real one. I'm not seeing it.

These idiots are genuinely concerned over imaginary guns.

Here's a question. They are CAD drawings from Solid Works. How adaptable are they to actual machining as opposed to plastic lithography?

And I dont want to be on the same range when someone shows up with one. No way in hell I'd pull the trigger on a plastic bbl gun. To fond of my digits and sight. I've seen 2 Glocks and a Remy 700 go Kaboom. I dont want to see anymore.

You can use a converter to view the files but still need either Solidworks or Cad to create the 3D printing files.
I meant to download the files, I have Fusion360 and a couple other CAD programs. I see the site it back up now.

I got my CAD software free. My printer was $600 used. Made parts and paid for it self. However...if have the means 80% lower> 3D printed..every day all day

Are you a CAD designer/drafter?

@Djstorm100 not even close haha, just an inquisitive guy with too many hobbies and 3D printing happens to be one of them.

The technology is already being applied to materials other than plastic, including metals. It’s just a matter of time before it’s viable.

The big issue is that govco is losing the ability to control, restrict, and regulate the gun supply. In reality, they already have as there is a whole black market of counterfeit guns. The twist is that it’s now going to be the honest, “law abiding” people who will have this access. Note that they aren’t getting their panties in a wad over “criminals” getting off record guns, just the regular people. Very telling.
