What works for you? I tried a search and scored a 0
They're for Glock mags, and Ruger MKII/MKIII gun & holster mags.
Thanks!

You’re looking for something that would work for both competition and carry? If so I would just go with a belt slide double mag holder from any of the many kydex makers out there, Bravo Concealment, TR holsters, etc.....

What style of competition? Ghost or CR Speed for USPSA and or 3 gun.

The other styles, IDPA or outlaw type matches, have no clue.

IDPA seems like it makes the most sensible place to start. 3 gun looks like fun, and expensive. The initial goal is to become more proficient with a carry weapon, learn and have a good time.
My work schedule has kept me from attending some to watch.
What are the cultural differences? Uptight? Laissez faire on safety? Etc? I don't know what I don't know.

That GREATLY depends on the Match Director.

They're all safety conscious, but IDPA tends to be more rule aware and uptight.

IDPA is also probably the easiest to get into - you run what you carry. Not as much gamesmanship.

i use cheap blackhawk single vertical clip one for comp (my comp goals are to not shoot myself or anyone else and not come in last).

i use a horizontal for edc

safariland for all full-size and a custom kydex for sig p365

Check out Comptac or BladeTech. You'll want a belt ride holster, not dropped and/or offset. (edit: for idpa)

Lots of options. Also, TR Holsters, Bravo, etc. like Derek suggested.

Most USPSA stuff tends to be racier and more competition focused.
Personally, I don't shoot IDPA anymore, but it is where I first started with centerfire matches. I enjoyed it and think its a good place to start and focuses more on carry type shooting and guns.

I hear the culture is quite different, I'll shoot IDPA some day.
IDPA and USPSA both have a pile of rules, and they should both hold everyone to them.
IDPA requires concealment, but no AIWB. USPSA has no rule against concealment, and allows AIWB so long as it complies with division rules so Limited, L10, Open
IDPA has more restrictions on how you can run a stage, and mandates lower round count stages.
IDPA penalizes you hard for marksmanship errors, but the scoring is very easy, time +, meaning errors are applied as seconds added to your score.
USPSA balances time and accuracy, you shoot points, they are divided by your time to get your score. Who shoots the most points per second wins.

Ghost makes great affordable gamer pouches, if you don't want bullets out you can score them for about $15
For carry or IDPA I'd score a couple of the cheapest kydex IWB pouches I could find that didn't look like garbage.

I have 5-6 of the mag carriers that TR Holsters makes, 4 of them are part of a complete set in “Altitude” Kryptek camo, I have the pistol mag carriers, AR mag carriers and G17 X300 light baring holster, the fit and finish is top notch and the quality is extremely good.

I also have a number of other holsters and single mag carriers in various colors that I primarily use for ccw, the double mag carriers TR Holsters make are also extremely good, I have a couple of those too and I’ll use them from time to time but I prefer the singles because I can arrange them a little easier when I’m carrying 4-5 magazines.

Give their website a look and I’m sure you’ll find everything you need.

The K carriers use slip on belt clips and the L carriers have belt loops.
