Concealed carry at Charlotte gunshow

Haven't been to that show. At all the others, they zip tie the unloaded gun.

Can't speak for the Charlotte show, but the other shows I have been to (mainly Raleigh) just what @Jeppo said - they zip tie the unloaded gun. We also have to enter a specific parking gate and enter the building at a particular door for the processing. They had an accidental discharge one year, when the deputy that was checking the guns and zip tying the triggers did not properly verify a shotgun was clear and when he zip tied the trigger it went off. One person injured.

I've been to shows that will retain a magazine and return it to you when you depart. Other shows send you back to the car if you try to bring a magazine (loaded or not) into the building.

few years ago I witnessed this at a show in Charlotte at the old location

And then let you into the building where you can buy dozens of magazines.

And ammo. Each time I go thru this routine I chuckle. For sure one can find a way to have a loaded weapon inside the show. I suppose the organizers are just trying to be proactive in order to demonstrate they've done their best.

They are doing what their insurance companies require. No loaded mags in the building is one of those requirements.

It really doesn't matter if magazines are loaded or taken into the building. All they have is a fellow at the front door who asks "do you have any weapons on you". I could have had 4 guns in my waistband and my pocket loaded with magazines. I remember when they had the show at the old location each person that came through was stopped and checked with metal detector wand. So I guess it's really just a show for insurance so they can say they made the effort.

Made in Germany?

I thought Grocks were made in China.
