The temperatures have plunged into the mid-80's. So, since it's cooled off I thought a big ol' pot of beef stew would be in order. 3 pounds of chuck roast, taters, onions, carrots, bell and banana peppers, and V8 juice. Slow simmer for a while, wife will fix a pot of rice, should be good.

Coming along nicely. We had a little storm/rain shower but the grill was under the trees and didn't slow things down any. Can you smell it? It smells good.

@Geezer How long on the stew? I have the same dutch oven and need to give that a try?

@skiles, I cook it indirect using the snake method keeping the temp around 275. I cook for about 3 hours. It can come off a little sooner but I like it to thicken up some. It's very easy to make and tastes great.

Does your wife like the 'snake method'? :p

You are certainly a Weber Kettle pro. You and Wahoo should have a cooking show.
