What solvent are you using to remove copper from your rifle barrels? I run a bore snake through the barrel after every session with a CLP (Gunzillow) on the snake.

I use Gunslick Pro Foaming Bore Cleaning Solvent, I think it has been discontinued.
Used it on my Tula Mosin and it worked great.

WipeOut Foam with accelerator.
Great stuff ...can stay in bore soaking indefinitely for stubborn fouling without fear of etching.
Second choice...ProShot IV Copper Solvent

Sweets 7.62, but do not leave it longer than 10 or 15 minutes.
Then clean the barrel and flush it before putting more Sweets in if needed.

Same here. Also, applied with a nylon brush.

Bore Tech Eliminator for normal stuff and Bore Tech Cu-2 for heavy build up of copper.

Here’s their cleaner chart info ...

With most of these cleaners do you need to take the action off the stock? One said do not get it on any wood.

Turn the rifle upside down if you don't want to remove the action from the stock.
Yes you have to be careful using any of these, but they WORK.

Butches Bore Shine
Montana Extreme
Sweets 7.62...…. IS STRONG, use in a well ventilated area.

The nylon brush is the most important piece of info you can give someone using Sweets for the first time. They’ll be like “where’d my brush go???”

I like the Montana Extreme products also. I use the bore cleaner for maintenance and the copper killer stuff for deep cleaning. Strong stuff and will knock your socks off if you get a good whiff by accident.
