Culligan water softener help

I'm screwed!!!!

Culligan is gonna have to come out. Valve separated from bypass valve.....Again another flat o ring. I finally got it out back together and in bypass but it's still leaking. I've got a towel up there to try and help. I'm gonna have to call Culligan. Pisses me off!

Hate to say it but based on what I have read about that model, Culligan is likely just going to charge you to come out and inform you that parts are no longer available. They will however be happy too take the service call charge off the price of one of their new overpriced systems.

I'm wondering if I could replace the control valve that houses the bypass valve with a generic one that has the handle to bypass. I'm NOT a plumber and I didn't even stay at a Holiday inn Express last night....Just thinking out loud.

I don't like the taste, labor, expense or the feel of soap not rinsing off.

Why do you have it on city water? I've only seen people use it on a well for the most part.

Because the water is hard enough that you feel like you need to take a shower after getting out of the shower...Lol
