I always enjoy him myself. Many times I laughed listing to him.

I figured he was to ornery to go up or down (just kidding ).

RIP

Robert D.... Man, I remeber listening to him on the radio in my Dads car on the way to school. Always enjoied his views.
Crazy part was, his son was my CHP instructor. He had alot of his dad's charisma...

Wow very sad to hear. I always liked when Kieth Larson would have him on as a guest on WBT. Always a fun listen.

Open line Fridays was good when he first started with JB&B and it was all local. He was a pretty good guy. RIP.

I enjoyed listening to him, but honestly, it's been so long since I have, I wasn't sue if he was still alive or not.

Rip.

I don't think that JB&B dropped him. They told one day that he had had a stroke and was not able to do the show any more.

I believe what @eddie0225 meant was that the radio station dropped the entire John Boy and Billy Show. I used to listen to them for years and my local radio station dropped the John Boy and Billy Show and no other local stations near me broadcast them. Rest in peace Robert D. Raiford. Who says that? I say that Average Joe on the Carolina Firearms Forum!

Loved that guy. His son gave me my CHP class also. I enjoyed listening to Raiford for many years. Not much of a JB&B fan. Their show has slowed and gotten kinda stale. Not funny anymore IMO. Anyways RIP Raiford

I always loved his “Cooking with Raiford-fruitcake” skit.
“Check th’ whiskey and strain yer nuts!”

He was a big supporter of Obama's first term. Called him an 'intellectual' president.
I quit listening after that.
