CWD in Cumberland County now...

A deer shot last October in eastern Cumberland county has tested positive for CWD...how did it jump that far when it is passed among the herd?

Going to be a lot larger area under CWD regulations next year.

I was surprised to see that considering how many deer were tested in the original containment area and only 5 more tested positive. It’s going to get bad in counties that have high populations and few hunters.

eventually all those kind of counties go to having a few paid people secretly going out to hunt in the few wooded areas around. either with a nice quiet bow, or by a suppressed rifle. Sure, there will be an outcry of people wetting their pants over how many houses are going to get accidentally shot up, or kids will be in the line of fire... but it will happen. It will take a few important people or their kids being in serious crashes with deer, but it will happen. And there may be an intermediate attempt at population control via sterilization... but it will get there eventually.

Speaking of deer in cumberland... right on cue!

Oddly enough, eventually states and every city govt agrees on the need to cull deer... but they refuse to do it by opening up hunting rules... it has to be their way by their people. almost like there's some kind of club with our tax money getting passed around...
