CZ pics

Great looking Z's. Did they come with those grippers or did you replace'm?

The green and orange are LOK grips.
The Red are Armory Craft grips (came with black steel grips)
And the black are CZ custom or Cajun gun works if I am not mistaken. Can’t temember which.

I saw this the other day. I haven't had much exposure to the CZ but for some reason this one really caught my attention. I'm going to go back and put it on layaway in the next couple of days...

Better hurry. Nice CZ 's don't usually sit in stores too long.

Hmmmm. Where you going to put money on it @Brian Batease? Just kidding. I wouldn’t buy it out from under you. I assume that has the Omega trigger right? Very nice gun. Welcome to Club CZ.

Shot my old 1981 dated preB CZ75 today after some of the water resided off the range. Summer Special holster and mag carrier is from the late Bruce Nelson. He made it for me when I was in West Germany back in 88'. Almost time to strip off the OD Green Kyrlon. Its been on there for 10 years.

We can go shoot over at Foothills or your range when it comes home! You can also shoot my 75B Pro package and Steel P01 Pro package.

We can have a CZ day....

On the Shadow 2 you get down below 6lb on the DA and around 3lbs on the SA. Reset and take up should be improved but to be honest out of the box it is better than I am. but then again so are most guns.

So the Urban Gray Shadow 2 has returned from CGW. They got the DA pull down to 5lb 10oz and the SA is down to 2lbs 14 ozs. They installed a short reach 85 trigger and their 10X bushing. The gun is still 100% production legal. They got the reset down to 1mm. As usual Scott did excellent work on this gun. It was excellent when it went to them it is AMAZING now. I won't get a change to shoot it for a few days but I will report back when I do.

I would like my DA trigger get down to somewhere close to that. What would that cost? What is the package called.

I’m a little lost on that site. I see the Pro and defensive packages for the RAMI. Are these the shipped and you install OR you ship the gun and they install the package?

They have price for the parts and then there is a in shop package. $40 shipping back to you.

If you are sending the Rami in you are looking at $426 in shop + $40 shipping for the Pro Package.

Honestly on a Rami I would do the defensive package. $338 + $40 Shipped

I agree, but I did a pro package on a Rami and it was sweet. Sold it to a guy in Greensboro a few years ago. Just talked to him again and he is still loving it.

For me the big upgrade in the Pro is the reduced reach trigger which is not as necessary in a Rami IIRC. These days I do that mod on all CZs except the P01, PCR and Compact 75B because they have a more 85 style trigger shape and I can still reach the DA pull without changing my grip.

Like you my hands aren't huge so trigger reach shortening always helps.

Before David AKA Schmeky developed the short reach trigger which was IIRC the first CGW product I would buy and sell 75Bs because I wanted one so bad but would then sell it because I could not shoot it DA without changing my grip. I remember way back in the day when David was first developing the short reach trigger and disconnecter. He and his shop have come a long way since then. I personally think they are doing better work these days than the CZ custom shop. YMMV

I finally have an entry for this thread.. shes not all dressed up but sure is prettyView attachment 71292

And an absolute fine place to start.
Welcome to the club :D
We show you the secret handshake when you get your third one :p

That one has the set trigger function if I’m not mistaken. Unreal what that trigger is like when pushed forward. Great long range gun.

That's the plan. I didn't really have a good centerfire target gun. This should be fine for my typical uses. I also picked up 3 boxes of Wolf ammo for $9/ea. I'll have to get some decent factory ammo and see what it likes. Eventually I need to get reloading for this one. Also forgot to mention it has a 25.6" threaded barrel.

You made an excellent choice. That gun is going to be accurate out of the box. I’m thinking of buying a 308 but they do not have the set trigger system in the short action guns.

Is there a difference in grip panel size between the cz75 and cz75 compact? I found these grips and I think they would be a great addition to my compact if they fit.Screenshot_20180826-202212_Bing.jpg

Yes. Compacts are smaller/shorter. But I am pretty sure VZ makes compacts too. I like VZ's. Good produtct and company.

CZfool68 what 22lr CZ rifle would you recommend as a first intro to the platform. I have looked at Rugers but I am CZ for life pistol wise and if it ain’t broke...... lol.

Look at LOK grips as well. They are every bit as good (if not better) than VZ’s and they will save you a little money. VZ definitely has a bigger color selection though. You can’t go wrong with either.

I haven't shot mine much yet, but I like it. Need to dry fire it some more as well. DA is pretty heavy. SA is acceptable. Should get better as times goes on.

This mirrors my first impressions of it, too. Gonna stop on the way home and put 50 through it just to see for now lol.
