Do you shoot the 2 gun matches at central Carolina? I think you let me fondle that gun once.
Did you ever finger out if the bbl is rated for major?
That gun needs a duct tape & bondo magwell!

No, never shot up there. Living in Wilmington don't get to travel much for matches, not enough time. Planning to shoot USPSA at Ant Hill Sunday afternoon, if you want to head down and shoot that match, Ill let you coonfinger the P-09 all you want. Might would even consider a trade for that Czechmate if you are bored with it.:D:D

I was only referencing that a 1911 isn't the only game in town for 45's and since this is a CZ pic thread, a shot of a 97 would be appropriate. Unless I overlooked it, I have not seen one in here yet.

Suggesting to carry it IWB is kind of "foolish" isn't it?;)

But yes, it is a tank of a piece for any style of carry!

I wanted a 97B so badly. Then I went to Fuquay G&G and fondled one. Me and my hands are not man enough for that gun. I could barely reach the trigger with my finger. I was very, very sad.

Same thing happened to me.
I need a single stack 97b with a double undercut trigger guard and a threaded barrel.

I looked around locally for two years before I found mine. When one was available, I was broke and when I had the cash in hand, I couldn't find one anywhere.

After getting mine, I moved all of my 45's except for my custom P220 compact. That one CAN be carried IWB lol

I've wondered why CZ doesn't do a Compact 75 and maybe a 97 in single stack versions. The 75 could be a great carry gun and a 97 single stack would be a great option for the 1911 crowd. And CZ pricing would make it competitive. Oh well, maybe next year.

An SA trigger makes the 97 a bit more manageable.
It is a huge gun!

@K80_NC if you like CZ's...and I get the feeling you do...you should spend a few minutes looking through this thread.
Some vintage, some newer, all great lol.

I'll toss this one on here. Not much new to see. But picked up some goodies from @dbracin and finally got them installed today. Race hammer, adjustable sear, and flat trigger. Not terribly difficult but it had it's moments. Several stops to find flying springs. Had to make some punches for the trigger, mine were too big. I'll take it out to the range Sat to test drive it. But just dry firing it, wow this SAO trigger in nice! And the reset is faster than my Sig P238 which has a great reset on it.

Hello, my name is draco88 and I have a problem.
I have a problem adopting troubled, wayward CZ's into a wonderful, loving home.
Please meet our newest addition to the family, Ms. Phantom. She's had a hard trip out here from the midwest, so she's a little shy right now. But, I have a feeling she'll open up and show her personality this Saturday when I give her an extensive tour of my local range.

I so should've bought that 97B that was listed in the BST a little while back. Shot a bud's & loved it. Grip size is perfect for my mitts, too.
