Just looking to get everyone's thoughts on what you think is the better gun. The CZ Accushadow 2 or the Tactical Sport Orange ? And if you could explain why you think that whichever one is better. I'll only be using it to target shoot with friends and family, not competitions. Thanks

@TJ45 should chime in. Last time he spoke of his Tactical Sport Orange I believe it was more beloved than his Shadow 2 or anything else he has shot.

They are both awesome pistols that would make you happy in that role. TSO is the large frame and magazines will be more expensive, and harder to find.

I think the Accushadow is better for your purposes. TSO is really a race gun for action games type sports.
For your purposes I would suggest the regular Shadow 2 is my recommendation. It's an excellent gun.

I have a Shadow 2 Urban Gray and it is a great shooter. I was just wondering if the Accushadow or the TSO would be a big step up in accuracy. Especially the Accushadow with the barrel bushing.

Orange is single action only while shadow series is da/sa. I've not owned the accushadow, but I'd give it the nod accuracy wise based on time behind a tactical sport and shadow. Mags advantage to shadow as its just a 75 series mag.

So, you think that the Accushadow will be capable of better accuracy than a TS Orange ?

Of the two I shot, yes. But that also had a 9mm vs .40 difference playing into it. The tso should technically have an accuracy advantage due to the longer sight radius, but accuracy is the last thing to worry about with most cz pistols. The worst seems to be more accurate than most people. Between the two, if gun games aren't involved, I'd let the trigger preference make the decision. If you have any inkling to shoot uspsa, the tso will only be competitive as a .40.

Also I’m wondering about 2 CZ's that I'm not very familiar with at all. The CZ AO1 LD Custom and the CZ 75 Bullseye, I believe from the CZ custom shop. What can anyone tell me about either of these 2 ?

Test the trigger before you purchase.
Of the two shadow2’s I’ve had, one is amazing, and the six month old one is gritty and going back to CZ.

OK...I'm going to take the other position. I think the TSO is the way to go. I haven't shot an Accushadow 2 but no disrespect to Angus and his shop, it essentially is a Shadow 2 with the 1911 style bushing. If you have the knowledge, you can upgrade a reg Shadow 2 to this gun with the exception of the 1911 style bushing which you will have to pay CZ custom or CGW to do for you. In the end..you can have the same gun for around $1700.00

I paid $1500.00 for my TSO in .40 S&W and it is the first CZ I have purchased that I will not modify in any respect and I have Cajunized 6 of my CZ's. With the longer slide and barrel it is the most accurate CZ I have owned and an absolute dream to shoot.

The 9mm TSO will cost you a few hundred dollars more but I suspect will shoot even better because of the lower recoil associated with the 9 vs the .40, although my .40 is like shooting a 22 LR.

Biggest difference is, as previously mentioned, is the TSO is SAO and the Shadow is DA/SA...but I convert all my Shadow 2's and SP-01's before them to SAO anyway..

Good luck with your decision....in the end, these are just opinions and you know what they say about those..LOL

Never seen a .40 that shoots like a .22LR.

If that one is available, definitely buy that one. Lol.

Tactical sport.....its a pleasure ti shoot. The shadow isnt bad.......i really just like the sa trigger.

Does anyone have any experience with the CZ AO1 LD Custom or the CZ 75 Bullseye, I believe both are from the CZ custom shop.

Have shot the A01 it is stupid accurate! That said I would put either of my Tac sports up against it in the accuracy department any day of the week and twice on Tuesday's. Right now I own 2 tac sports, and 3 shadows, one an urban grey, one optics ready and one orange with the factory CZ bushing installed. I still put the tac sports in the top 2 slots in the accuracy department any day. If you want to hit up PHA and shoot the tac sport vs the shadow 2 with bushing sometime and form your own opinion shoot me a pm.

I’ve had a shadow2 and a TSO. Both shot acurate. Can’t say one was more so than the other. TSO was larger and just for matches and range time. The shadow2 was more “carryable” due to size and weight. Purpose would determine which one best fit your needs. SA only verse DA/SA might be a consideration also.

Ideal? Maybe 3 gun, but someone else would have to chime in on that. You can't shoot it in uspsa production, and it's at a disadvantage in uspsa limited due to 9mm scoring minor. Not sure about idpa.

This right here. You can buy the bushing and put on your Shadow 2.
Save money, do it yourself.

I only know maybe 2 or 3 people who actually gain advantage from a accushadow. 99.9% of good shooters are not accurate enough that they would see an advantage to the Bushing upgrade unless you're shooting Bullseye competition.

My TS has a scary trigger. Scary good. The uninitiated could very easily send one over the berm or do the inadvertent double tap. Crazy accurate.
Disclaimer: never shot a Shadow. Sa/Da not my thing. My $.02
