I'm looking to get a hammer fired ccw gun. 9mm relatively light weight and not too much larger than a glock 19.

My list of potentials are the CZ P-07, hk USP compact, p30sk, sig 229.

If there are anyothers let me know.

My favorite alts to a G19 are Sig M11a1 and CZ SP-01 tactical.

PCR all day long. No rail makes it a little lighter and smaller to conceal. Go CGW or CZ Custom and get the DA to about a smooth 8 lbs or so and it is perfect. I’ve got one if you want to meet up and shoot it sometime.

And I have a P07 if you want to shoot that too. The P07 is stock.

My recommendations are:

PCR
P01
M11

If you do go with a PCR or P01, I can help you do a trigger polishing and spring job which helps the SA a little and the DA tremendously without spending all that CGW momey.
If you want to go full custom packs from them, I can help with the install and save you some dough there, too. I turn out roughly 8 lbs 12 oz DA and 3 lbs 8 oz SA. Comparable to what the professionals do.

Does it have to have a hammer? Walther P99 is one sweet DA/SA.
No it doesn't, but I haven't had an opportunity to handle or fire one of those like I have the others.

Theres also the FNX-9 but it is slightly larger than what I am looking for. The Kriss sphinx alpha compact is the right size and weight but rather rare.

I carry my P-07 every day, have it on me right now sitting in the office. If you put it on top of the G19 the only larger parts are the mag, sights, and threaded barrel. ( I have the tactical version so it has suppressor height sights, threaded barrel and +2 extended magazines)

The DA trigger pull is heavy, I think it measures around 11 pounds? The SA trigger pull is unbelievably smooth and the reset is crisp, I think it comes in around 3 pounds. Has to be my favorite weapon I've ever fired.

The 19 is almost the perfect grip length. Any shorter and the little finger has nothing, any longer and its harder to conceal. I haven't liked any of the short guns like the sig 938. Yes they make a extended mag with space for the little finger but at that point its basically the same height as a 229.

HK P2000 is also a nice option. Same size as the G19 (but only holds 13rds.) and can be had in the LEM trigger variant.

I summer carry a Sphinx SDP Subcompact. 13+1 in a nice small package just under 25 oz unloaded. It rides in a Milt Sparks VM2. DA is just under 8lbs and the SA is right around 4lbs. Also own the Sphinx SDP. Both were made before Kriss moved production to the US. They are excellent pistols. I swapped a few springs with CGW parts after talking with David there about them. They are beautifully made guns. The machining on them is super clean. I have not seen a US assembled one but I hear that they are still high quality.

I handled Billy's 39-2 and was amazed... it was the first 39-2 trigger I pulled. I want one!
@MacEntyre
I believe a friend is trading into one in the coming week or two. If he decides to unload it, I’ll let you know.

Although it didn’t seem to deter many militaries and LE agencies, it’s probably worth noting that the 39-2 is not 100% drop safe when chambered. That was reportedly one of the motivations for S&W to develop their second generation pistols.

Thank you!

I'll try not to drop it.

You know, it has never been documented that a 1911 fired from being dropped. Cowboys dropped Colt SAAs and they went Bang! Not many others, though.

Picked this up today, manufacture date of December 2011 and from what I can tell it hasn't been fired since the factory. The mag backs look like they have tarnished.

I got it with the intent of CC it but now that its in my hand I don't know. Tier 1 said they would make a Aegis Slim for it but I held off on ordering it till I actually had the gun in had.
I even went ahead and bought a set of TFX Pros for it.

I kinda wish I had gone with something a little shorter height wise. Even though this is right about the same size as a P07 and only slightly larger than a G19.

I carry one of these every day either Aliengear iwb or owb.

Are there options for a single stack 9mm DASA? I know there is the 3913, P239 and the RAMI, I didnt know if there were others.
