DA/SA CCW gun

As an HK fanboy, HK's double action is garbage even after working on it. LEM is where their handguns shine imo. So from your list that leaves the P229 and the CZ P-07-- slight edge in trigger and ergonomics goes to the SIG but at the cost of weight (SIG being something like 7 oz heavier). I'd probably lean towards the P-07 from your list.

For an off-list suggestion, check out the CZ P-01. Alloy frame DA/SA that weights barely anything more than the P-07.

For me the real P228 not the A1 version has to be considered. With the carbon steel slide it handles differently than the P229 or A1 versions which both have stainless steel slides. It is the gun that I really cut my teeth on. I love them and still own 3.

Tristar C-100 is excellent value with some features better perhaps than PCR. Well made and accurate. Paint the front sight so you can see it. Black out rear dots. No decocker, unfortunately. That is a big negative to me. You can learn around it

Looks like the OP already made his choice, but for others thinking about a traditional double action carry gun, I just saw that Ernest Langdon has put together a version of the Springfield XDE. Still has the safety/decocker, and he reports that it would be difficult at this time to convert to decocker only. But otherwise looks really outstanding! https://pistol-forum.com/showthread...le-Stack-Springfield-XD-E&p=921394#post921394

To the best of my knowledge the Rami does not have a single stack version. If it did, I want one! I think it would be the ideal edc gun. The current double stack model is just too fat IMHO.

Looks like he's in buyer's remorse or something similar looking back maybe at PCR's? Concealed carry seems like constant confusion with too much emphasis on conceal or carry instead of a real and adequate weapon you personally can use effectively. Endless debate over limitless options. Great fun of course. Printing is a non issue virtually everywhere, yet people compromise and worry. Weight and bulk matter more towards comfort, but that's subjective too. That FN is no pocket toy at least. Good luck, OP!

I'm looking to get a hammer fired ccw gun. 9mm relatively light weight and not too much larger than a glock 19.

My list of potentials are the CZ P-07, hk USP compact, p30sk, sig 229.

If there are anyothers let me know.

I hadn't really intended to get the FN and was playing roulette on gunbroker.

Im honestly looking at a pcr or p07 at this point. I just haven't gotten around to getting one. Busy working 11 hour days 6 days a week. The fn is just slightly too big.

Sounds like a perfect Wal Mart open carry gun. ;)

My offer to put a pcr in your hands still stands

The PCR and PO1 command $High. CZ of course is renowned. Tristar (Canik) C 100 and T 100 are really nice for much less money, $350 or so? Better finish actually and they shoot. No decocker though, which I've gotten over. Some claim they degrade trigger anyway. I hate the PCR rubber grips and it should have the PO 1 mags instead of the sharp ended things. For the money it's kinda hard to

Aren’t the PCR and P01 about $500-$600? I wouldn’t say that’s high dollars. Seems about average.

It''s all relative. I spent good money on a new .40 M&P I didn't even want because it was so cheap! But buying a Shadow 2? That would just be crazy! If you can't steal it, you don't need it.

I disagree about the P01 rubber base mags. That rubber base can 'grab' onto, hold a cover garment, and mess you up when trying to clear and draw. I had it happen several times while training myself that first year I owned a P01. While it didn't happen often, I absolutely do not want it happening in the moment of truth. The slick bottoms are much better for concealed carry.
Like you, I hate the rubber grips, too. Not because they feel bad or don't grip well, becaise they do, but for the exact same reason that I don't like the rubber base pads. Drawing from concealment.
