My dad got the phone call a little while ago that he had been pulled up on the list for a new kidney, apparently it is a live donor but the person it was supposed to go to is stuck in PA due to the weather. I hate it for them but he has been after one for 4 years, praying it will be a good match!

His surgeon is in Greenville, they should be getting there right about now and doing the labs and prep work for getting it into him.

Awesome news! I had a close coworker who was on the list for a few years, some big ups and downs with the whole process.

Surgery went well, they said the kidney went right in. Finished up about 2:00AM. Shortly after, his BP dropped and his heart stopped, they are working on getting him stable and have him on an echo machine currently to take the load off his heart. I’ve been up in Greenville since this morning with him/my mother and the prayer squad.

I appreciate the prayers and will keep praying and speaking positive about this, I’m ready for him to come home.

Praying for a speedy recovery
 
I appreciate the prayers and texts I’ve gotten from y’all, I love you all as a forum and friends.

Daddy went to be with Jesus at 8:00 this morning, we said our goodbyes and prayed with/over him. He fought the whole time hard, but had internal bleeding from the surgery and potentially chest compressions.

I know he is at peace and not hurting anymore, but man this sucks.
