Does anybody know what is going on with them? When I was still buying lots of stuff abot 10 years ago they seemed to be doing fine but when I go to their website right now they appear to have nothing at all in stock? Are they folding up?

99%+ of Davidson’s inventory is going to supply their dealers. Much of it is allocated such that dealers get only a small quantity of any given item, since everyone wants it. There is nothing left over for the Gallery of Guns, which is a glorified transfer dealer service. Davidson’s has made an absolute pile these last 18 months. They aren’t going anywhere.

My boss gets a call from a "broker" of sorts from Davidsons and its a question of "Do you want XYZ?" And if he takes too long, its goes to someone else.... looking at the Davidsons stuff from the dealer side is the same story. If its in stock, its allocated.
 
Locally...Lotsa Glocks, ARs...Lots! My FFL says he can get any S&Ws, Colts and Taurus you want. He's selling 9mm for $400. He has King Cobra and Anaconda and Pythons. I picked up an LCP in .22 Friday and he had a stack of Ruger and Taurus boxes.
Mid South is back up and rearing to go with plenty of stock.
The Gun Store in Conway has a thousand guns ready to go.

No shortage here.....now if Somebody could find me a striker fired SCCY????
 
Davidson’s is a major distributor. They’re going to take care of their dealers before they put inventory on their D2C site. This is normal for most industries.
 
I think I have one of those striker fired SCCYs, still. I'll have to see if I sold it last show.

I don't think I've seen a new American made shotgun on a gun store shelf in a year.

I did recently get the 686 I wanted after waiting over a year to find one locally. Ended up having to order it from a shop halfway across the country.

We've had 6 or 8 new Mossbergs allocated to us all year.
