Last month I picked up a set of sights for my TriStar P120 from Dawson. Got them installed, went to the range with no decent rest, figured out they hit low. A month later finally make the trip with a rest and get a number 4.25".

Dawson offers a "Perfect Impact Promise" on their sets, if they don't hit POA they'll send you a new front, custom make it if they have to.

The issue, these sights are silly short, 0.120 front, 0.190 rear. Moving the POI up means knocking the front sight down... I sent an email Sunday asking if there was anyway I could get a taller rear or discount on a F&R for CZ75 (fits with mods) with the required difference?

Well Monday morning 0930 the phone rings from Florence TX, they confirm my math, say the required front seems too short, how bout we cut you a custom rear? Perfect! 2 weeks to a much simpler shooting experience.

That folks is fantastic customer service in my opinion.

wow. Oustanding.

I've had discussions in the past six months with three different well recognized 1911 manufacturers and they didn't go quite that well.

Have no reservations ordering sights from Dawson, they will absolutely take care of you if needed. I ordered a set of sights for a CZ P-09 that impacted too high, one call to Dawson and a detailed conversation with one of their reps and a new front sight was custom made to fit my needs. They are my first choice in aftermarket sights.

I like a lot of their other parts and pieces, too. Great mags, mag baseplates, and other drips and drabs of things I need. If Dawsons has it, that's where I order it.

Well the 2 weeks I was quoted was a bit ambitious, but a month and a half later I have my new rear sight.

Maybe I can try it out this weekend. Not sure I want to be switching platforms two weeks out from Battle in the Bluegrass though.
