Price, it's all about the price
This will be my morning and daylight arm from opening day for much of the season.
So, prepping for opening morning of deer season with departed Uncle Vic watching over.
1940 Berlin 8x57 caliber WW 2 war trophy. Non Russian capture. Strong bore. All original except bolt body appears to be an arsenal replacement based on over striking of SN and reapplied new SN. Bayonette will remain home.
Made by Berlin-Lübecker for only about 6 years these were the first 98s in the rearmament of Germany and the Least in quantity e.g. more rare, underrepresented in the collections of k models.
Ammo will be the Czech S&B 196g soft point cutting edge bullet that regulates to the original battle sights.
