I'm getting ready to spend my government money. I was set on the Sandman S, but a friend brought up the Razor 7.62. Stating the Razor 7.62 was just as good for about $200 less. I have a Rugged Oculus 22 rimfire, in jail.

I love my sandman but I have no experience with the rugged. The sandman is heavy, and IMO there are better options if full auto rated is not needed.

Check out the nomad. I think silencer shop has them in stock. You have the ability to direct thread or use quick detach system of your choice. That nomad Ti is on my short list for my next rifle can. The Ti version weighs about the same as a keymo mount and muzzle device.
In all honesty I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the bigger manufactures. They’ll have trade offs. Don’t do like I did suffer from paralysis by analysis and start second guessing yourself. Go with your gut.

I'm in the same boat, been going back and forth between the sandman s and nomad...

Rugged Razor has worse suppression and higher backpressure on a 308 than the sandman per pew science with a similar weight.

Sandman S is 17.7 oz + 3.6 oz brake for a 21.3 oz system on the end of your gun. It's a bit hefty and you're stuck with keymo. It does the job well though and will last forever.

Since you're using gas guns, do they have adjustable gas blocks? Blowback is usually a concern on gas guns, esp if you don't want to tinker.

Do you plan on shooting them without a can ever? If no, you could look into cans with a replaceable mount system to cut weight down. Plan B and the YHM Kurtz are secure and repeatable while weighing significantly less than the keymo and still being QD. Direct thread is also an option but I've always had issues with direct thread coming loose over time personally since I usually can't take a wrench to it.

How much do you care about weight? Ti cans would be fine for non-full auto use and will cut weight by quite a bit. If they're just bench guns then it won't matter too much but if you're shooting offhand or swinging your gun you'll notice a heavy can way more.

What's your budget? If you've got money to spend, the OSS 7.62 has very low back pressure and meters better at the ear and muzzle than a Sandman S on 308 but your wallet will shrivel up and die if you want the lower weight Ti model. Subsonic performance might suffer with the non traditional OSS baffles and the 300 BLK though. If that's a bit much $$$ then the Nomad or Nomad Ti with a plan b or kurtz kit would probably be the next best option, though that adds ~125$ to the price before muzzle devices. I assume it's more traditional baffles will perform better with subsonic things.
