if you have actually built one, did it work? what did it look like?
i have asked Mr. Google, and there are lots of ideas posted.
since "antler drop" or shed is ~80 days away,
i want to make a good one.
thanks.

Find two small trees about 4’ apart. Wrap chicken wire around them leaving it off the ground about a foot. Pour corn in the middle of the loop and check it ever few days. The wire will knock the horns off while their eating.

Ummm, why do you want to knock the antlers off? (I'm seriously asking.)

Deer shed their antlers in late winter and grow new ones in the spring and summer. The antler trap is a way to collect the sheds. This pic, taken last September in Afton, Wyoming is an example of what can be done with the sheds.
