Sounds like a kind of fun urban legend. The location is also less than 10 miles from me.

If you're looking for something a little spooky to do this Valentine's Day, you might want to check out the new film "The Devil's Stomping Ground.

The independent horror movie was produced and filmed in North Carolina and makes its debut at the Millstone 14 Theater in Fayetteville starting Feb. 10.

According to the film's producers, it's a cautionary tale about temptation, pushing your luck, and the inevitable consequences of being oblivious to your surroundings.

I did the same at the Devils Courthouse up on the Blue Ridge parkway. Went with a group every year from Camp McCall.

It’s a bare spot on the ground now that usually keeps a pile of trash and beer cans around it cause people use it as a party spot. Or that’s how it looked the last time I was there
