Disable chat box on main page

An option to disable or at least collapse the chat box on the main page would be fantastic. Not everybody is into what's transpiring in there these days, and it would be nice if there were an option to not even see it.

Hmmm. I’m not sure if Xenforo has that as a user option. I fo know it’s an installable plug-in. They may be able to turn off your permissions to it, but I don’t know if that makes it disappear.

I was thinking I had it hidden somehow, but it's possible I haven't been to the home page in so long I've just forgotten.
